How to ruin your carpet

Of course you'd never do these 10 deadly carpet sins --

1.  Don't vacuum. Let the loose dirt scratch the fibers so they look grey and dirty, even when they're cleaned.

2.  Walk from the shower or tub dripping wet every time, making carpets moldy and lumpy with damaged backing.

3.  Don't get them professionally cleaned regularly. You'll save about $20 if you do it yourself with a renta-cleaner (and spend 4-8 hours doing it).

4. Never get them protected for stain resistance.  Why pay more to make the carpets last 4X as long?

5. Don't clean up spots from animals and drinks that spill.  A $4 can of Chem Dry spotter at Home Depot is just too easy.

6.  Call a number you see on a sign along the road, they're desperate for work -- and cheap.  Maybe they've done business for years that way, but why don't customers call them back?  Why are they desperate?  Maybe they're no good and not honest.

7.  Let someone who did a bad job come back and do it again. And again.

8.  Never move the furniture so the same spot in front of the couch and your favorite chair turn black from shoes resting there.  Let a trail develop through the room.

9. Don't use doormats outside and inside to catch most of the mud and dirt from shoes.  Don't keep rugs in front of the fireplace, at doors and in bathrooms.

10.  Never use your vacuum tool to get into corners and close to the edges of your carpet to catch the dust your vacuum leaves behind.

Even if you've been the victim of carpet abuse, you can call All Star Chem Dry and we'll do our best to bring your carpets back to life.  We won't blame you -- but we are here to help!  770-425-6999 - Shelly will be ready to help you!
